Henry County Information

Henry County is in the State of Ohio. A local census found that Henry County had 27,662 inhabitants in 2020. The current county seat in Henry County is Napoleon.

The county was created in 1820 and later organized in 1834.

It is named in honor of Patrick Henry, the Virginian famous for his "give me liberty or give me death" speech.

To obtain a record copy, occupants must also pay a fee. Henry County birth records cost $25 per first copy. Death certificates in Henry County will set a person back $25 for a first copy. Marriage certificates in Henry County cost $45.

NOTE - There are a number of rules that must be followed for Henry County inhabitants to obtain records. The office is only open between 8:30 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. EST from Monday to Friday.
